For more than 25 years, Damian Christian Shammas has represented individuals and businesses in a wide range of employment law matters. Before founding the Law Offices of Damian Christian Shammas, LLC in 2011, Damian practiced at two prominent New Jersey law firms where he counseled and represented both large and small employers, as well as individual employees. Today, his practice is devoted almost exclusively to advocating for employees whose workplace rights have been violated or threatened.

Damian is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York.

Damian earned his law degree in 1999 from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. In 1996, he completed his undergraduate studies at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and History. Upon selection by the New Jersey Supreme Court, Damian served a four-year term as a member of the District XB Ethics Committee.

An experienced trial attorney, Damian has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. He has been selected as a Super Lawyer for 12 years straight (2015-2026), which are issued by Thomson Reuters. Previously Damian was selected to as a Rising Star from 2012 through 2014, also issued by Thomson Reuters.*

Outside of his legal practice, Damian has served on the boards of two New Jersey animal welfare nonprofit organizations and spent years coaching his children in Little League baseball and softball. He is an avid baseball fan who enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
